Library Renovation

FROM THE DIRECTOR:

We’re Getting an Elevator!!!!

And a complete makeover.  This historic Carnegie building will be brought back to its original glory in a restoration
project that will take approximately a year and a half to complete.  Library services will continue in the Annex of the
Verona Recreation Center.  This building will be closed as of April 24th, and during that week, the Library moves to its
new quarters.

The Library will officially open at the Annex on Monday, May 1.  You’ll find the complete Adult Fiction collection,

paperbacks and newspapers.  New titles in both fiction and non-fiction genres will be added constantly.  Audiobooks and DVDs will make the trip and the children’s collection will include Juvenile Biography, Fiction, Picture Books and non-fiction picture books.  As with the Adult collection, new titles will continue to be added to the children’s collection.

We will still provide internet access (including wireless), reference and readers’ advisory assistance, help with technology, and all the services offered in the past.  With our membership in the PALS Plus consortium, you may rely on fast delivery for any title not available at the Annex.  As always, your loan will be delivered to Verona Library for pick-up.

It is our intention to provide superior library service during the construction period.  We will provide updates on the

construction project throughout the year and the creative plans for the building, designed by Frank Messineo of Solutions
Architecture, will be available for you on our website very soon.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t
hesitate to contact me -  ashley@veronalibrary.org.
