Fort Lee Film Commission Executive Director Tom Meyers will introduce a screening of Chapter 1 of the movie serial classic The Perils of Pauline starring Pearl White.

This film was released one hundred years ago and is considered the greatest example of a cliffhanger in film history.  Pearl White became the first worldwide cinema celebrity based on her exploits in this film which was shot on the Palisades of Fort Lee, NJ.  Fort Lee was the first American film town and among all its  studios and stars Pearl White was perhaps one of the most famous.

Prepare to hiss the villains and cheer our heroine Pearl out loud as we  bring you "The Perils of Pauline!!!"
